Sixteen ice sculptures will be featured during this weekend’s Salem’s So Sweet Chocolate and Ice Sculpture Festival in such diverse forms as a slice of pizza, the Eiffel Tour and a storybook dog.

The sculptures, sponsored by local businesses, are on display starting Saturday, Feb. 6 at noon. An ice carving demonstration is at 1 p.m. at Pickering Wharf by Ice Effects. Also new this year, the Phillips House will host a mixed media ice sculpture by local artist Josh Gerloff, featuring the Phillips family dog.

Check Salem Main Streets’ website for a map of the ice sculptures. The festival kicks off Friday night at Hamilton Hall with a tasting of chocolate and wine. The event is 6:30 to 8:30. Tickets are $20.
